Hero Banner Application
need four items to be accepted by us.
1. The completed Hometown
Hero banner application.
2. An 8x10 photograph can
be mailed in for scanning or hand delivered to a chapter meeting
OR a high resolution digital photograph can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
The servicemember must be in a uniform
and show their face but does not have to be the formal "ribbons
and flag portrait" that we all have.
3. The banners are $350.00
currently. If you are paying for the banner, the check for $350
should be made out to RotW Blue Star Moms.
4. Banner Timesheet
documenting how you have earned the banner if you are requesting the
chapter to pay for your banner. You must donate at least
the minimum number of hours performing approved troop and/or
chapter support. Currently the number of hours to earn a
banner is 14.
- You can drop off the application/fees/photo
at any chapter meeting or contact us.
- If you mail it to us, we suggest
you send the photograph in a photo mailer. We will not be
responsible for any damaged photographs delivered to us in the mail.
We recommend hand delivery. Please include your check, application,
and/or timesheet log with the photo.
- You may also fax the application
to us and mail in the check and photo. We are working to get PayPal
on our site soon.
- We go to press with the next
wave of banners when we collect several applications with photographs
and fees. Once your banner is manufactured you can choose an available
pole or one will be chosen for you. There is no guarantee of location
for the actual banner display but we are trying to place them in the
actual hometown. Pole locations are decided on a first come -
first serve basis but chapter members are given first choice in each
wave of banners.
